A mixed media series built from collected receipts, layered paper fragments, acrylic paint, and glaze.
Each piece began with ordinary material gathered over time and gradually transformed through collage, atmosphere, and repetition into constructed floral arrangements balancing intimacy, memory, and objecthood.
All works are one of one.

What remains after the gesture softens into memory.
Courting III — The Dream Gesture reduces the arrangement to a single suspended bloom emerging from a fragmented paper vessel. Much of the composition is left intentionally quiet, allowing atmosphere and negative space to carry the emotional weight of the piece.
Less descriptive than the earlier works in the series, the image drifts toward something softer and more dreamlike, balanced between object, memory, and painting.
Materials:
Receipts, paper collage, acrylic, glaze, and matte finish on sealed MDF panel.

Fragments begin to separate and accumulate.
Courting II — The Memory Field expands the visual language of the first piece into something denser and less fixed. Layers overlap, forms drift outward, and portions of the bouquet detach into suspended remnants that feel closer to memory than documentation.
The collage elements remain visible beneath the paint and glaze, allowing the surface to move between still life, artifact, and emotional landscape.

A simple gesture, held in place.
Built from collected receipts and layered paper fragments, Courting I — The Offering treats ordinary materials as a record of repetition, presence, and care. The bouquet remains centered and restrained within a warm atmospheric field that softens the boundary between collage and painting.
The piece is intentionally quiet, less about spectacle than tenderness, and more about the accumulation of small acts over time.
Materials:
Receipts, paper collage, acrylic, glaze, and matte finish on sealed MDF panel.
These earlier oil paintings explored atmosphere, staged space, fragmentation, and emotional tension through layered surfaces and constructed imagery.
While materially different from the current collage based work, many of the same interests remain present throughout both bodies of work, particularly memory, intimacy, and the relationship between structure and atmosphere.
All works in this section are oil on canvas.
